Babyface Reveals He and His Family Had Coronavirus, Announces IG Live Battle Against Teddy Riley

On Friday, April 10, legendary R&B singer/songwriter Babyface celebrated his 62nd birthday and the next day, he took to Instagram to announce that he and his family had contracted coronavirus.

“I feel so blessed to be able to celebrate another birthday. I tested positive for the Covid19 virus, as did my family,” Babyface wrote. He went on to say that he and his family recently tested negative for the virus and is on their “way back to full health.”

He also took to the time to accept Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s invitation to participate in an Instagram battle. He announced he will be battling Teddy Riley in what he’d like to call “a Celebration of Black Music Excellence in – Teddy vs. Babyface…”

The battle between the two legends is set to take place on April 18 at 6 pm PST/9 pm EST on Babyface’s Instagram.

“So get ready for a night of groove and love. Ladies… put on your red dress… light the candles, pour some wine, and don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes…” Babyface added.
