Young Thug Apologizes To Mariah The Scientist In “Man I Miss My Dogs” Song Amid Leaked Jail Calls

Young Thug is now baring his soul and apologizing to those he hurt in his newest song “I Miss My Dogs,” just days after leaked jail calls surfaced online.

The Atlanta rapper released his new single on Thursday (Sep. 11) clearing up some of the remarks he made while on the phone, and delivered a heartfelt apology. The emotional record, shared alongside a video and lyrics posted to Instagram, hears Thugger addressing infidelity, loyalty, fractured friendships, while taking full accountability for his mistakes.

One of the most poignant moments comes when he directs his lyrics to his longtime girlfriend, Mariah the Scientist. “Baby, I’m sorry/ One of my biggest fears is losing you to the internet,” he raps. “Waking up in our bed with you right by my neck… pillow talking ain’t my name/ Baby, I love you/ I know you see this rain, I know you feel my pain.”

Later, he admits to his role in the hurt he’s caused her, confessing, “I’m sorry for being a part of these ho*s laughing at you… I’m the reason you crashing.”

He also addressed his strained friendship with Lil Baby, who he says hasn’t been “answering his calls,” while showing love to Drake for holding him down. “Drizzy, you my brother/ You know I ain’t going against you/ Came to visit me at Cobb County like my kin do,” he raps. He even mentioned his attempt to reconcile Metro Boomin and Future with Drake, saying, “Trying to get you, Metro, and Pluto on the same page/ The internet don’t know about it because real ni**as don’t say, real ni**as do.”

The 34-year-old didn’t mention GloRilla in the “I Miss My Dogs” rap, even though one leaked call surfaced with him calling Glo “ugly as f**k.” The YSL pioneer had already took to X to apologize. “First of all I’m sorry to u for my words and I honestly don’t think ur ugly at all… I was speaking from jail just having a hard time with life. I don’t like bashing girls and hardly ever did.. I’m sorry to u twin,” he wrote.

GloRilla, however, doesn’t seem to be accepting his apology at the moment. The Memphis rapper allegedly dropped a track of her own called “Looking A** Ni**a” where she roasted Thug and his girlfriend. In one bar she calls him a “tootsie roll with dreds” and Mariah The Scientist, “Tweety Bird.”
