Ye Forthcoming Album ‘Cuck’ Could Potentially Be Banned In Russia

Ye has fearlessly put out his recent music and statements without any concern for who it may offend. Unfortunately for him, his forthcoming album Cuck could potentially get banned in Russia due to him promoting Nazism.

The country’s media regulator has submitted a formal request to ban the release, per a report from the popular X page Kurrco. Their reasoning included the artist formerly known as Kanye West‘s promoting of Nazism, along with the alleged glorification of criminals of the Second World War such as Adolf Hitler, drug use, violence, and sexual content related to incest and homosexuality.

Cuck is highlighted by the Chicago producer’s recent single “Heil Hitler,” which repeats the phrase “Ni**a, heil Hitler” in the refrain. The track, due to its harmful content, hasn’t made its way to Spotify or Apple Music, and it was removed from X and Soundcloud. West took issue with his record being censored, pointing out a double standard in the fact Randy Newman’s “Rednecks” hasn’t gotten the same treatment despite him using the n-word.

“While Rednecks by Randy Newman remains streamable They’re literally keeping the n-ggas down,” Ye wrote on X. His fans also pointed out how John Lennon has a record called “Woman is the Ni**er of the World,” which is still available on streaming.

The multi-time Grammy winner has erratically released music all throughout this year. In March, he shared the Bully V1 short film, which featured all of the tracks playing in the background while his son, Saint, battled monsters in a wrestling ring. The project notably omitted “Melrose” featuring Playboi Carti and Ty Dolla $ign, due to his lingering issues with the two.

This follows a busy 2024 for the YZY designer, as he released Vultures 1 and Vultures 2 alongside Ty. Listen below.
