SZA Seemingly Reacts To Being Mentioned On Drake’s Leaked Diss Track

SZA isn’t here for Drake‘s shenanigans. In the midst of the “Drake versus Everybody” beef, he name-dropped SZA, Travis Scott, and 21 Savage as the people he feels have surpassed Kendrick Lamar music-wise.

On “Push-Ups (Drop & Give Me Fifty),” Drizzy spits, “Pipsqueak, pipe down/ You ain’t in no big three, SZA got you wiped down/ Travis got you wiped down, Savage got you wiped down/ Like your label, boy, you in the scope right now.”

21 and Travis has yet to respond to the bar, but SZA took to Instagram on Saturday (April 13) with an indirect response to her ex. She shared a clip of NeNe Leakes from her Real Housewives Of Atlanta tenure where she questions, “Now, why am I in it? See how I get thrown into stuff? I ain’t even did nothing.”

This come just months after SZA appeared on two records — “Slime” and “Rich Baby Daddy” — from Drake’s recent album, For All The Dogs. Around the same time, she also revealed that she and the Canadian-bred rapper dated in the past.

“It wasn’t hot and heavy or anything. It was like youth vibes. It was so childish,” she explained to Rolling Stone. He first confessed to their romantic past on 2020’s “Mr. Right Now.” Drake declared, “Yeah, said she wanna f**k to some SZA, wait/ ‘Cause I used to date SZA back in ’08/ If you cool with it, baby, she can still play.”

The SOS star took to Twitter clarifying, “So it was actually 2009 lol,” adding, “In this case a year of poetic rap license mattered. Lol I think he jus innocently rhymed 08 w wait. Anybody who really knows me and was around during this time can confirm.. it’s all love all peace. I just didn’t want anybody thinking anything underage or creepy was happening. Completely innocent. Lifetimes ago.”

SZA wasn’t the only one who responded to Drake’s recent diss track, but Rick Ross took a more direct approach.
