SiriusXM Launches Mary J. Blige Radio For Women’s History Month

Mary J. Blige is headed to SiriusXM… but for a limited time only.
The songstress announced the launch of Mary J. Blige Radio, a pop-up channel hosted and curated by the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul herself, in celebration of Women’s History Month.
Fans can tune in on the SiriusXM app from today (March 4) until April 2. It will be available for CarPlay on channel 79 from March 18 through March 24.
The station will highlight Blige’s uplifting and soul-stirring catalog as well as other generational acts and blossoming stars who align with impact like Anita Baker, Lauryn Hill, Victoria Monét, Ella Mai, and Summer Walker. In addition to the music, the My Life singer will share exclusive stories and insight about her career, music influences, and more.
In a preview clip, Blige opened up about how crucial her fans have been throughout her career.
“I always say, without them there is nothing,” the 54-year-old expressed. “When I reached out to them on the ‘My Life’ album, I said, ‘I’m going through hell. I need somebody to love me.’ I want somebody to this, I was begging for this, begging for that, begging for something to love me other than myself. They reached out and said, ‘Mary, we are going through it and we are healing too.’ […]
“If it weren’t for them, there would be none of this. So my fans are like extremely important. They’re number one when it comes to this right here. And so I’m grateful, you know, to have my fans. I’m thankful to God for people that actually are paying attention to me because there was a time in my life where I didn’t think I was gonna be anything at all.”
Blige is currently on the road for her ‘For My Fans’ Tour with Mario and Ne-Yo. In a separate preview, she opens up about her Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, describing it as “one of the most amazing moments in my career.” Listen below.
