Jada Kingdom’s “Somebody Else” Fuels Breakup Rumors, She And Pardi Unfollow Each Other

Jada Kingdom, the Jamaica-born star, has dropped a video for her new single, “Somebody Else,” which has also stirred breakup speculations about her and Pardison “Pardi” Fontaine.

The music video sees Jada in her coziest element, rocking comfy clothing as she raps about a heartbreak from her bedroom, bathroom mirror, and amongst her crew. The vulnerable track includes many emotive, yet empowering lines that allow fans into the personal life of the 26-year-old.

“You had too many months of draining me/ It’s kinda hard to explain the things I’ve seen/ Though if I know nothing else, I’m sure that distance is the only thing that keeps me free,” she emotionally croons. “I can attest to one thing/ If I play this game right, I might be on to something/ ‘Cause after all the heartache, I still gained nothing/ Best of luck. I’m sorry.”

“Somebody Else” is the fourth single Jada has released in 2024, following hits like “What’s Up (Big Buddy),” “Top Tier,” and “Gen Z Jezebel.” The single also comes under Jada’s newly established independent label, Kingdom Mab.

The release dropped on Oct. 28, amidst Jada and Pardi unfollowing each other on social media—adding a layer to the narrative in “Somebody Else.”

Fans are now speculating whether the song’s heartfelt lyrics hint at a deeper story about their relationship.

The two began dating seemingly in Sept. 2023 months after Pardi split from Megan Thee Stallion. The rapper was seen walking hand-in-hand with the dancehall/R&B singer during New York Fashion Week. The two stepped out at multiple events, and have since been very vocal about their feelings for one another.

Back in March, a video began circulating showing Dancehall queen Spice making claims that Jada was hiding a pregnancy with Pardi—which she denied. Pardi also sparked pregnancy rumors back in February, when he was seen rubbing his beau’s belly during a photo-op.

Whether the two are keeping things under wraps or have called it quits all together, only time will tell. In the meantime take a look at the “Somebody Else” video above.
