Ice Spice Claps Back At Latto While Previewing New Diss At Coachella Festival
Ice Spice has seemingly clapped back at Latto amid the two rap stars’ ongoing lyrical war, taking aim at the Georgia native while previewing a new song during a set at the 2024 Coachella Festival.
The Bronx native was performing at the Empire Polo Club over the weekend when she launched into the new track, which is currently untitled. On the song, Ice Spice appears to send shots at female rivals, questioning why she would engage in a beef with someone less successful than her.
“[Bi**hes] be losing the plot & that’s how I got to the top & NO I don’t got any opps/ Like why would I beef with a flop,” the 24-year-old wrote in a post on X, quoting lyrics from the forthcoming release. “Like let’s talk drill!! Who bigger than she?!! Who prettier too?!!!/ 250 to GET IN THE BOOTH,” the “Munch” rapper added.
Tensions between Ice Spice and Latto have come to light in recent months, with the latter taking unkindly to accusations that she had bitten Ice Spice’s style. In January, Latto previewed a snippet of “Sunday Service,” a song in which she takes aim at Ice Spice, on social media.
On the track, Latto seemingly addresses Ice Spice, rhyming, “Do you rap or do you tweet? ‘Cause I can’t tell, get in the booth, bi**h/ Stop all that motherf**kin’ yellin’, h**, ’cause I ain’t buyin’ what you’re sellin’, h**/ Think I’m the s**t? Bi**h, I know it, h**, Jesus walked on water, I got ice boilin’ though.”
Shortly after, Ice Spice unleashed her own diss “Think U The S### (Fart),” which she confirmed was in response to Latto playing her “Pretty Girl” music video in the background while previewing a snippet of “Sunday Service.”
“I put it out because bi**hes were being funny that day. Like why am I in the background of your weak-a** snippet?” she told fans during a X Spaces chat session.
On the song, Ice Spice seemingly references Latto’s hit 2023 single “Put It On Da Floor Again,” rapping, “I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up/ She all on the floor, told her get up,” the latest of several alleged shots she’s taken at the “Big Energy” creator, dating back to last year.
