Gunna Hints At Releasing ‘Love’ Album That Will Include “Intimate Songs”

Gunna has revealed his plans to expand his artistry on his next album, a “love” centric project he bills as his most intimate material to date.

During his appearance in an episode of Spotify’s A Day In The Life series, the College Park native gave insight into his musical plans moving forward. “I might do this love album,” Gunna initially told the outlet before quickly clarifying that romance will be an underlying theme on the project.

“Not all love songs but just a pocket of songs that’s more intimate. I think that’s going to be the next album for me.”

Gunna’s latest musical update is evidence that the rapper is as focused as he’s ever been, as he recently continued his ascension back to rap’s upper echelon with his fifth studio album, One of Wun, which dropped last month.

Led by the singles “Prada Dem” and “WhatsApp (Wassam),” with guest appearances by Offset, Normani, Leon Bridges, and Roddy Ricch, One of Wun debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, Gunna’s sixth album release to peak in the Top 10 on the albums chart.

The follow-up to his 2023 project, A Gift & a Curse, One of Wun marks Gunna’s second full-length album since his release from jail in December 2022 after accepting a plea deal for his alleged role in the YSL RICO case.
