Drake Announces PartyNextDoor Collab Album Due “When It Gets A Little Chilly”
Drake and PartyNextDoor have something in the works. Last week, Drake revealed to an audience at PND’s Sorry I’m Outside tour at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto, that he and the OVO Sound singer have a collaborative project due, once the weather changes. According to Billboard Canada, the two musicians are set to release a full album.
“On behalf of me and Party, we’ve been working on something for y’all,” detailed the chart-topping rapper. “So, you get the summer over with, you do what you need to do. I know all you girls are outside. When it gets a little chilly, PartyNextDoor and Drake album will be waiting right there for you.”
The announcement came after a full R&B set from Drake, who closed the show with live performances of tracks including “Sweeterman,” “Practice” and the first live performance of “Wah Gwan Delilah.” He was also joined by Roy Woods for “Drama” and PND for a handful of their previous collabs, including “Come and See Me.”
Per Billboard CA, the Grammy-winning musician also used his time onstage to crown PartyNextDoor “the King of R&B” adding that the “Recognize” singer is his favorite R&B singer of all time and giving him credit for inspiring him and “changing my life and changing my sound.”
PartyNextDoor’s latest release PartyNextDoor4 was released in April 2024.
“This is the hardest I’ve ever worked on an album. This is the proudest I’ve felt. I’m excited to grind even more for the next [one]. I’m in love with how hard you should work for it,” described the singer of the work.
Drake’s last album, For All The Dogs Scary Hour Edition, dropped in November 2023 and features J. Cole, Lil Yachty, Sexyy Red, SZA, Yeat, Teezo Touchdown, Chief Keef, and Bad Bunny across 29 tracks, divided into two sections. Additionally, the album features Drake and PND’s latest collaboration “Members Only.”
