Chrisean Debuts New Gospel Song “Yahweh” Amid Spiritual Awakening

Billboard Women in Music 2025
Chrisean went from problem child to prodigal child after committing herself to God and releasing her gospel debut, “Yahweh.”
The record features Tim Bowman Jr., Arissa, and Faith City Music from Faith City Central Church in Maryland.
In a sit-down with Dr. Mike Freeman, Faith City Central’s Senior Pastor, Chrisean expressed, “You can still be gangster and still follow God. Y’all clock it […] It’s not like you come like ‘Oh let me stop cussing. Let me stop doing.’ It’s like more so ‘Okay let me get to know you.’ The more I get to know you, the change really just starts inside and out, not outside and in.”
Bowman praised the mother of one after they performed the song live during Sunday’s (March 30) service.
“Yesterday was crazy at @faithcitycentral. I got to worship with my SISTER @Chrisean as she dropped her new Christian single ‘Yahweh!’ We sung, we cried, we laughed but most importantly we ministered. & To top off an amazing service, Chrisean and @drmikefreeman helped lead over 20 young people to Christ during our alter call. That’s the mission. That’s the motive. To win souls for the Kingdom. I am so proud of her decision to surrender and follow Christ. It’s only up from here!!!!” he wrote.
Back in September, the rapper revealed that she was walking a new path and leaving her troublesome ways behind.
“Embracing a new life and walking in purity is a beautiful journey, one that reflects the transformative power of God’s love and grace,” the 25-year-old shared on Instagram. “As you continue to shine brightly in your purity, remember that it’s a reflection of God’s work within you, drawing you closer to Him and to the life He has envisioned for you. Keep your heart and eyes fixed on Jesus, the source of your purity and strength, and let His light shine through you to illuminate the path for others. GODS PLAN AMEN.”
