Chance The Rapper Reflects On Life In “Together” Video Feat. DJ Premier

Chance The Rapper brings viewers into the depths of his world in the “Together” music video. The song, which officially features DJ Premier as the producer, calls for family unity as Chano reflects on his childhood with nostalgic footage.

Clips from family holidays, cookouts, and more add emotional strength to the song’s heartfelt lyrics. The 31-year-old also includes videos of his hometown Chicago, including past residences and citizens in action as he also hopes for community solidarity.

“We gotta stick together, been looking at the puzzle/ We gotta fit together, and looking at the struggle/ We gotta lift together, and not just on the holidays/ We gotta get together, it’s either now or never,” rhymes the Grammy Award-winning rapper.

“Together” precedes Chance The Rapper’s promised Star Line mixtape which fans have anticipated since at least 2022. Last month, he shared an update on the project, revealing a trailer and stating, “I’ll be ready to go.” T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Lil Yachty, Jermaine Dupri, Jazze Pha, and Vic Mensa are all set to make feature appearances.

“When I first started [working on the new album], every song was kind of like ‘The Heart & The Tongue’ and not in terms of production, but just in terms of it was very rappy,” explained Chance the Rapper to VIBE in 2022.

“I think in time, I’ve naturally grown and had so many different experiences that have catered it to move more towards substance that, it’s still rappy, but now I feel like ‘The Highs & The Lows’ verse, I feel, was very, very vulnerable.
