Cash Cobain Gives Fans The Power With New Customizable “Problem” Remix
Cash Cobain took over the internet this summer when he sampled Laila! on “Problem” and several artists teased guest appearances on the track. Now, he is putting the power of selecting who is on the remix in the hands of fans.
This week, the Bronx rapper launched a custom generator that allows fans to pick up to 10 verses from the seven-minute track, arrange them however they would like, and then download the MP3 file for free. The original record featured 6LACK, Flo Milli, Big Sean, Fabolous, Chow Lee, Don Q, Rob49, Luh Tyler, Anycia, and more, totaling 14 overall guest appearances.
The generator presents a unique opportunity to add and arrange verses that did not make the original track, though some of them appeared on the truncated radio edit which was dropped this week. The new additions include Lil Yachty and Kyle Richh. Those interested in putting together a “Problem” remix of their liking can do so on problem.cashcobain.com.
Cash Cobain ascended in stardom in 2024, starting with his one-two punch of “Dunk Contest” and song of the summer contender “Fisherrr” featuring Bay Sway. J. Cole jumped on a remix of the former titled “Grippy” and Ice Spice appeared on the remix of the latter. The 26-year-old rapper also linked up with Don Toliver and Charlie Wilson for the highly popular “Attitude” from Don’s latest album Hardstone Psycho, which marked his first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100.
The sexy drill innovator went on to accomplish a major feat on his own, as his August album Play Cash Cobain debuted at #113 on the Billboard 200, marking his first appearance on the long-running albums chart.
He was a major presence on the feature and production side, joining A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie on “Body,” Lancey Foux and Teezo Touchdown on “Daylight,” Jay Critch on “Kick It,” and Big Sean on “Get You Back.” His success earned him a spot on the 2024 XXL Freshman List alongside ScarLip, BigXThaPlug, Maiya The Don, and more.
