Cardi B Promotes ‘Am I The Drama’ Courtroom Album Covers Inspired By Memes

Cardi B once again proves why she remains one of music’s most unpredictable and entertaining personalities.

On Wednesday evening (Aug. 3), the Bronx superstar took to Instagram to reveal a tongue-in-cheek rollout for her highly anticipated sophomore album, Am I The Drama, and announce a series of limited-edition variant covers inspired by her viral courtroom appearances during her recent civil trial.

In the clip, Cardi can be seen showcasing the collectible designs, each spotlighting her in the hairstyles and ensembles that had social media buzzing during the proceedings.

“Due to public demand, I’ve got the Am I The Drama CDs, court edition,” she announces, before flaunting the covers. Ever the comedian, Cardi slipped in some self-aware commentary on her legal expenses, reminding fans, “And just because I won the verdict, guess what, I still gotta pay these lawyers.”

She urged fans to “donate” $9.99 in exchange for a copy of the limited-edition covers, leaning into the parody of a telethon appeal. “Please buy these, you know I’m a single mother of three,” she added, coyly referencing her public split from Offset.

Cardi didn’t stop there, mock-pleading, “If I don’t sell these albums, I’m gonna have to give up my Rolls Royce, give up my Lamborghini, like, how am I going to live!? How am I gonna take my kids to school!?”

The rapper emphasized the exclusivity of the drop. “So anyways, make sure that you get these. They will only be available ’til Friday. $9.99, you got ten dollars. You got ten dollars for me. You can’t give me ten f**king dollars!?” she quipped, before summoning the camera person to join her in attempting to sell the physical copies.

The video quickly cuts to her jokingly flagging down drivers in the street, urging them to buy. As the caption to her post read: “Donate to an angel for just the price of 9.99…Link in bio if you want to go to heaven.”

The courtroom-edition covers serve as a quirky appetizer ahead of Am I The Drama, which drops Sept. 19. The album marks Cardi’s first full-length project in over six years, following her Grammy-winning debut Invasion of Privacy (2018).

In the lead-up, she’s released singles like “Enough (Miami),” “Like What (Freestyle),” and her JAY-Z-inspired track “Imaginary Playerz,” teasing fans with a soundscape that blends her signature Bronx bravado with club-ready bangers.

With features rumored from hip-hop heavyweights and the rollout already cementing its place in pop culture, Cardi’s sophomore effort is shaping up to be nothing short of an event.
