Kehlani Pauses World Tour Due to Health Concerns
Singer Kehlani has officially paused her ongoing world tour following medical advice, citing health concerns that have left her unable to perform.
R&B sensation Kehlani has officially announced the cancellation of two upcoming concert dates as she navigates unexpected health challenges. In a candid update shared with fans on Instagram, the singer revealed that she sought medical attention after experiencing severe physical discomfort, ultimately receiving orders to prioritize her recovery over her performance schedule.
The affected shows, which were slated for New Jersey and Maryland, have been put on hold to ensure the artist’s well-being. “After two off days feeling completely normal, I’ve been up all night unable to swallow & in so much pain,” she shared in her statement. “I just left the hospital & am not cleared to sing for the next two shows. I’m so sorry Camden & DC.”
Kehlani expressed her frustration regarding the situation, emphasizing that she remains committed to her fans while acknowledging the unpredictability of her current condition. “My team is working on a solution. Breaks my heart to have to ever do this. I do everything I’m supposed to to ensure my health stays up to par & it still isn’t guaranteed. We will pick back up in Virginia.”
The singer is currently in the midst of the North American leg of her world tour, which began on August 6 at The Armory in Minneapolis. Despite this temporary setback, she is expected to resume her tour schedule at the Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront in Richmond, Virginia, on August 29. Throughout the tour, the artist has been vocal about the importance of maintaining her health while navigating the rigorous demands of life on the road.
This tour follows a busy year for the performer, who recently appeared at the Roots Picnic in May, sharing the stage with legends such as Brandy, T.I., and Erykah Badu. Earlier this year, she released her fifth full-length studio album, Kehlani, which serves as a follow-up to her 2024 project Crash. The new record features the standout collaboration “Back and Forth” with Missy Elliott, further cementing her status as a powerhouse in the modern R&B landscape.
