Brandy and Sy’rai Smith to Return for 'Christmas Everyday' Sequel

R&B icon Brandy Norwood and her daughter, Sy’rai Smith, are officially set to return as sisters in the highly anticipated sequel to the Lifetime original holiday movie Christmas Everyday. With the working title Christmas Everyday Again, the film is scheduled to premiere later this year as a centerpiece of the network’s It’s a Wonderful Lifetime holiday programming slate.

In this follow-up, Brandy will reprise her role as the Chicago-based fashion designer Francine “Fancy” Ballantine, while Sy’rai Smith returns to portray her spirited younger sister, Belle. The cast also sees the return of Debbi Morgan as their mother, Evelyn, and Robert C. Riley, who reprises his role as Fancy’s fiancé, Jaylen.

“I’m so excited to step back into Fancy’s world,” said Brandy, who is also serving as an executive producer on the project. “Making Christmas Everyday was such a special experience, and I’m thrilled that audiences will get to continue this journey with these characters.”

The narrative of Christmas Everyday Again finds Fancy Ballantine navigating the busiest season of her life. As she works to secure the future of her boutique while simultaneously planning her dream wedding to Jaylen, the pressure begins to mount. The unexpected return of a reformed ex-partner complicates matters, leading Fancy to shoulder the burden alone and unintentionally push her fiancé away. The film explores whether she can reconcile with her past before it jeopardizes the future she has worked so hard to build.

The production also features a strong supporting cast, including Kajuana S. Marie, Journey Carter, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, Lamman Rucker, and Gregory Alan Williams.

The original Christmas Everyday premiered on Lifetime in November 2025, where it resonated with viewers through its focus on faith, family, and the preservation of holiday traditions. Further details regarding the official premiere date and time for the sequel are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
