“Adore U,” which has over 17 million Spotify streams, is regarded as “one of my favorite records” by Khalid.

“It delivers a melancholic experience filled with ethereal melodies and soulful vocals setting the tone for my upcoming album that I can’t wait for my fans to experience,” he explained about the track.

Further, “Please Don’t Fall In Love With Me,” the first single from Sincere, reappeared on Hot R&B Songs at No. 16 this week. The track, which samples Alicia Keys (“Unthinkable [I’m Ready]”), debuted at No. 8 and later peaked at No. 6.

Sincere was released Aug. 2 via Right Hand Music Group/RCA Records. The 16-track album is Khalid’s first studio album of new material since 2019’s Free Spirit, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, driven by the hit singles “Talk” and “Better.”

Khalid explained, “Sincere is a combination of my life experiences; it takes inspiration from conversations that I have had with my fans, supporters, and the people that love me.”

“When I listen back to this project, I hear a sound that’s so unique and represents me at my best. This album is me at 26, continuing to evolve with the knowledge that I have garnered throughout the years.”
