Big Sean Posts Heartfelt Messsage on Ex-Fiancée Naya Rivera’s Passing
Still “grieving and in shock,” Big Sean took to Instagram early Saturday morning to post a heartfelt message about the late Naya Rivera who was found dead on Wednesday in a drowning incident. Sean and Rivera dated in were engaged in 2013.
“Rest In Peace Naya, God Bless your Soul! Thank you for blessing us all with your talent and presence. you are a hero! Not just because of how you saved your son, also because of the barriers you knocked down for so many people to make them feel confident in themselves and to stand tall and be proud when they couldn’t achieve that on their own,” Big Sean wrote on Instagram.
Big Sean and Naya’s relationship was no secret in 2013-2014 with the G.O.O.D. Music rapper name dropping his then bae in the Drake single “All Me.” In the record Sean raps, “my new girl is on ‘Glee’ and shit, probably making more money than me and shit.”
Eventually they went their separate ways and both moved on to new relationships but there doesn’t seem to be any bad blood between them.
“I appreciate and cherish everything that ever happened between us for making me wiser and a better person. I’m still grieving and in shock, I can’t believe this is real. I’m praying for you and your family and I know your watching over them and protecting them. Rest In Peace Naya,” Sean said.
The 33-year-old ‘Glee’ star was found dead on Wednesday after a 3-day long search in Los Angeles’ Lak Piru where Rivera often spent time. She was with her 4-year-old son who she reportedly saved from drowning that night.
