Donald Trump Finally Wears Mask in Public While Visiting Military Hospital

Donald Trump has spent months ignoring advice from medical professionals regarding COVID-19. He even said months ago that it would be unlikely for him to wear a mask and ridiculed people who did wear a mask. However, Donald Trump recently visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center yesterday and was shown finally wearing a mask on camera. This marks the first time Trump has been publicly seen wearing a mask.

Trump visited the hospital to see soldiers and essential workers caring for those with COVID-19.

“I’ll probably have a mask, if you must know,” Trump told reporters. “I think when you’re in a hospital, especially in that particular setting where you’re talking to a lot of soldiers and people that in some cases just got off the operating tables I think it’s a great thing to wear a mask.”

Trump also said that he has never been against masks and the reason why he’s never been seen with a mask in public is that he believes there is a time and place for them to be worn. “I’ve never been against masks, but I do believe they have a time and a place.”
