Swizz Beatz Speaks Out Following Triller Backlash “It’s Fixed”
Swizz Beatz addressed the confusion on social media.
In honor of Valentine’s Day, it’s safe to say that love is still in the air. While many are either celebrating or reminiscing a recent Valentine’s Day celebration, others are buckling up to see R&B legends, Anthony Hamilton and Musiq Soul Child battle hit for hit in the Verzuz TV ring.
Since the start of the pandemic, Verzuz TV has been playing a huge role in the culture, bringing together some of hip-hop and R&B’s greatest, to battle their best hits from their era, while fans get to comfortably watch the show on social media. Ahead of the battle between Hamilton and SoulChild, Verzuz would share an eye-grabbing message on their Instagram account that put fans of the show, on edge.
“2/15 [fire emojis]. A night of amazing artists, music, and vibes!! We’re SOLD OUT for in-person tickets, but you’ll be able to watch on VERZUZTV.COM or in the @triller app!!” the caption began.
“THIS VERZUZ WILL NOT BE ON IG. Watch on VERZUZTV.COM with the #TrillerVerzPass (LINK IN BIO to sign-up for a 14-DAY trial).”
Fans immediately swarmed social media in outrage as most were not happy about the platform’s new plan, threatening to no longer support Verzuz Tv.
After receiving so much backlash, Swizz Beatz penned a message on Instagram to address the issue at hand. “See yall rite here tomorrow on insta @verzuztv [laughing emoji]. Who yall rocking with @anthonyhamiltonofficial or @musiqsoulchild? You can also watch in HD on verzuztv.com. I was out of the country don’t ask me who did it [laughing emoji],” Beatz stated before adding, “It’s fixed bless up love yall,” followed by several red heart emojis.
We are glad to see Swizz Beatz and VerzuzTV fix the issue for the culture. Who will you be rooting for in the upcoming battle?
