Kenneth Petty’s Alleged Rape Victim Says Investigation Against The Pettys Will Be Launched
Kenneth Petty’s alleged rape victim is speaking out about the harassment she’s been receiving from her rapist and his wife, Nicki Minaj.
The Internet was in a frenzy when word got out that Nicki was in a relationship with a man who was a convicted sex offender. The rapper has jumped to her man’s defense countless times and claimed that he was wrongfully convicted.
“When you’re somebody’s wife, you’ve gotta be even more prayed up,” Nicki Minaj told her audience in a 2019 episode of her Apple Music show, Queen Radio. “Because you’ve gotta cover your husband in prayer.”
In a bombshell interview with the Daily Beast, the alleged victim named Jennifer spoke about the harassment she’s received in wake of Zoo’s recent arrest for failing to register as a sex offender in California.
Jennifer told the outlet that she was in contact with the U.S. Marshals, who told her that they found evidence and a “high-priority” investigation against the Pettys is underway.
“I’m hoping for the truth to come out, and whatever comes from that truth, to let it be,” Jennifer said. For a while, she’d tried to avoid implicating other people. But now, “after everything that has happened, it’s like, these people were willing to sacrifice me so this guy could remain in the public eye,” she said. “I feel like my family was willing to sacrifice me.”
Jennifer grew up in Southside Jamaica, Queens just like the couple, but denied having any relationship with either of them, especially Petty, which she said his parents tried to paint the narrative that they were romantically involved.
“My family allowed his mother and father to take me to go see a district attorney and pretend like [they were] my aunt and uncle,” she told The Daily Beast. “I think I kind of always just felt like people wanted me to be a liar.”
The alleged victim insists that she never wrote a letter recanting her statement as Minaj suggested on Queen Radio. Jennifer said the harassment at the time was so aggressive that she moved to Florida, and had to move three times last year.
She even alleges that she spoke to Nicki herself and the rapper told her that she heard Jennifer was willing to help them and asked “if there’s anything you need…”
“Listen. I just need you to know, woman to woman, this really happened,” Jennifer recalled telling Nicki at the time. Minaj allegedly told Jennifer that she wanted to stay connected but the number is no longer in service.
Shortly after her conversation with the Queen rapper, Jennifer alleges that her estranged brother, Barry, said a New York man named Jamie offered half of a million dollars for her to speak to a lawyer that represents Petty but she never called. Barry didn’t offer any information about where the offer came from but he swears Minaj or Petty aren’t involved.
“So I was confused as to how all of this was happening around me,” she said. “I’m like, ’You say Nicki’s not involved, but she’s the one who called me.’”
Barry went to the extent of pulling up to Jennifer’s house with $20,000 and offering to type a letter that said she lied about the rape allegations, which he wanted her to sign. “I came outside and sat in the car, and he pulled out the letter and the $20,000 out of his middle console and put the money on my lap,” Jennifer said. “And I held it in my hands, and I put it on the floor in the passenger seat. And I told him, ‘I’m not taking it. I don’t want it.’”
The story is overwhelming and Nicki hasn’t been in the public eye since becoming a mother. This is clearly not music to Kenneth Petty’s ears, and his wife already denied the rape claims more than once.
