Tyga Donates $50K to National Bail Out Fund and AWARE-LA

Tyga has donated $50K to the National Bail Out Fund and AWARE-LA.

The National Bail Out Fund is a black-focused group of “abolitionist organizers, lawyers, and activists building a community-based movement to support our folks and end systems of pretrial detention and ultimately mass incarceration,” stated on their website.

AWARE-LA is an “all-volunteer alliance of white anti-racist people organizing to challenge racism and work for racial justice in transformative alliance with people of color,” per their website.

The “Taste” rapper took to his Instagram account to share his opinion and encourage his followers to vote. “TIME IS NOW TO STAND UP. FIGHT BACK!!.VOTE VOTE VOTE!!!! PROTEST, SCREAM, SHOUT, BE HEARD, BE SEEN,DONATE!! SUPPORT THE ONES IN THE FIELD & FAMILIES AFFECTED. LETS KEEP THIS ENERGY! WE STRONGER TOGETHER! WE NEED PEOPLE IN POWER TO FEEL US.CHANGE THESE WAYS,” he penned.

Although the rapper is speaking out, he had no issue putting his money where his mouth is. Tyga posted the receipts of his donations as well as sharing that he marched in the Black Lives Matter protest held in Hollywood. $25K was given to the National Bail Out Fund and another $25K was given to AWARE-LA.
