Megan Thee Stallion Gets Her First No. 1 Single with ‘Savage (Remix)’

Just two weeks removed from hitting number two on the Billboard Hot 100, Megan Thee Stallion has slid into the top spot with her “Savage (Remix).”

The Beyoncé-assisted single flew to the top after dropping to the No.5 single last week. It is the first number-one single of Meg’s career and No. 7 for Queen Bey.

Meg’s single also climbed to the No. 1 spot on the Digital Song Sales chart as Billboard notes sales are up 55% for a strong week of 30,000 downloads in the week ending May 21. The Digital Songs chart was also a first for Meg, number 8 for Bey. The song is streaming well as it sits in the No. 2 slot on the Streaming Songs chart with 30.5 million U.S. streams.

Beyonce is now the second artist to have a No.1 single in the 2000s, ’10s, and ’20s after Mariah Carey did it earlier this year. Carey’s run also includes the 1990s, while Beyonce can boast hitting No. 1 with Destiny’s Child.
