Erica Banks On Megan Thee Stallion: “There Is No Beef”

While both rappers are signed to 1501 Certified Entertainment, Erica Banks claims that she has no issues with Megan Thee Stallion.

Earlier in the year, Erica Banks took the internet by storm with her viral track “Buss It.” The track erupted on TikTok. Millions of people including celebrities created content for the “Buss It” challenge. The TikTok trend put the glo-up on full display. Even celebrities such as Gabrielle Union, Tracee Ellis Ross, and more took turns doing the challenge. The newly signed Warner Records rapper received her first Billboard Hot 100 debut following the song’s viral success, peaking at 47.

When Banks was first introduced to the world in 2019, she received a comparison to Megan Thee Stallion. Some fans labeled Banks as “Megan Jr.” During a recent interview, Erica Banks stated that “there is no beef” when asked if she’s willing to reach out to the 3x Grammy winner.

Banks took to The Shaderoom’s IG comments when the site posted her answer to the question. She urged bloggers and interviewers to grow up.

“Messy,” Banks starts. “The first part is 2 question in one… There’s no beef, so there’s nothing to ‘squash’ or ‘talk’ about. Which is why when asked if I’m open to ‘talk’ about it, I said no. Bloggers/interviewers need (to) grow up, seriously.”

Both women are signed to the Houston label, 1501 Certified Entertainment. This is a golden age with the omnipresence of women in Hip-Hop. Would fans be open to a collaboration between Megan and Erica?
